My Work
ArcGIS Storymaps
My Experience as an Intern at EHS SupportThis was a deliverable that I proposed to my internship program heads at the end of the summer. I wanted to create something interactive that would tell the story of my experience as a Geospatial Analyst Intern and that could be used as marketing material by EHS Support. I also proposed the idea of creating an ambassador program for graduated interns. If the ambassador program idea is approved, this will be the first material created during its existence.
Writing
Esri YPN BlogI was asked by a YPN board member to write a blog for young students in the geography/GIS field to help them find their passion. Link
ArcGIS Blog
During my 2023 internship with Esri as a Product Engineer, I created two blogs on Map Viewer. Link
Basemaps
Pirate WatercolorThis was created in ArcGIS Online (Map Viewer) and was inpsired by John Nelson's water color map tutorial. I love how bright John's is, so I decided to create a darker version, which then turned into a pirate-themed map.
Because this was created in Map Viewer, there is not yet a way to directly embed the map into my website, at least that I know of. The feature is available in Map Viewer Classic, but some styling features I used are not supported by Map Viewer Classic. So, unil Map Viewer is able to be embedded, below is a video of my map. You can also access the map here. The ship tracks and symbols are layers (aka not part of the basemap), so you can turn them off or add to them if you want more tracks on the map.
ArcGIS Pro
A 3D DioramaThis was created in ArcGIS Pro via help from a previous class at Virginia Tech and John Nelson's diorama tutorial. I may do a soil layer one next!
Hurricane Tracks
This was created in ArcGIS Pro during an Esri MOOC on cartography.
